All Aluminum Alloy Conductor (AAAC) is a concentrically stranded conductor. It is generally made as a single or multiple layer composition of 6201 T81 heat treated aluminum alloy and high-strength Silicone-Magnesium. AAAC has the following significant features compared to the ACSR:·       Less power waste when compared to ACSR, for its lower electrical resistance·       Higher corrosion resistance ·       High mechanical strength-to-weight ratio·       Less Sag (Flash)·       Easier installation of fittings in comparison to ACSRStandard ACSR and AAAC conductors are equal in diameter. This equality makes them similar to each other. Due to the aforementioned reason, AAAC conductors are widely used in overhead distribution and transmission lines of the ocean rim, where ACSR steel core is likely to corrode.
